  At SVActionPistol we shoot Rain or Shine, Hot or Not! We're not just putting holes in paper targets on a sunny days when its warm enough to shoot. "Wow that Target in the shadows was tough to see," is a comment we've heard a couple of times!

  We shoot forward of the conventional firing line at SVActionPistol.

  As we are an outdoor shooting range, under adverse weather conditions we shoot under the covered overhang of the pistol house, still in front of the regular firing line.

  At SVActionPistol we run skill building drills, we're using cover, shooting from behind barricades, around barrels, going through doorways, or shooting on the move and while moving and from unusual shooting positions; such as from the ground , or kneeling.

  Some SVActionPistol targets fall when hit in strategic places and some of our targets move, both, across the range and up and down.

  Have some fun shooting without the noise.  At Silent Night we use only Air Rifles and low-sound .22 Rifle cartridges. No ear protection required, but bring your safety glasses. Bring a flashlight!

  Work Party Theme: Get ready for Winter!

  1. Spread oyster shell on both backstops, and a long the rain water drain path on the left side of the rifle range.

  2. Replace any crushed straw wattle.

  3. Measure the gate to the old youth range, current storage area. And plan for a replacement.

  4. Organize tool shed. Get rid of the old paint cans and other unused junk.

  5. Measure picnic area for a shade Sail over the tables.
  
  6. Make sure there are at least 10 good target frames on both ranges.

  7. Vacuum and wipe down the rifle and pistol houses.

  WELCOME BACK TO LIVE, IN-PERSON MEMBERS MEETINGS FOR THE SCOTTS VALLEY SPORTSMEN'S CLUB!  WE MEET QUARTERLY IN THE SUNDEAN HALL, 1032 CAYUGA ST., SANTA CRUZ AT 7:3OPM!

  These are in-person meetings of the Scotts Valley Sportsmen's Club.  New members are particularly encouraged to come and meet your fellow club members and officers.  Attendance will count towards full membership for probationary members.

  In addition to club news and routine club business reports, we will be discussing plans for future improvements to our facilities and potential future club events. Members are encouraged to ask questions and join in the discussion.
